TerakoyaCloud Practice Log (“TCPL”, “TerakoyaCloud”, “we”, “our”, or “the Service”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect information when you use TCPL.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create or maintain an account, we may collect information such as:

- profile image;
- login authentication data;
- language preferences;
- account settings;
- notification preferences.
1.2 User-Generated Content
When using TCPL, you may create, upload, submit, or share content including:
- Practice Logs;
- Performance Logs;
- notes and reflections;
- uploaded images, videos, or other media;
- external links (such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or other services);
- feedback comments;
- invitations and related activity;
- event information;
- event reflections;
- event participation status;
- Knowledge articles;
- Knowledge suggestions;
- annotations;
- questions and answers;
- Related Focuses and Related Contexts;
- profile information;
- other user-generated content.
This content may contain personal information if you choose to include it.
1.3 Practice Session and Activity Data
TCPL may collect or generate activity-related information such as:
- practice session start times;
- practice session finish times;
- practice duration;
- activity timestamps;
- practice rhythm data;
- practice calendar data;
- focus progress data;
- dashboard summaries;
- interaction history;
- event-related activity;
- invitation-related activity;
- moderation-related activity.
This information is used to provide practice-tracking, reflection, analytics, and community-related features.
1.4 Drafts and Auto-Saved Content
TCPL may temporarily store:
- drafts;
- auto-saved logs;
- unfinished edits;
- temporary writing states.
This information is stored to help users continue unfinished work and improve usability.
1.5 Technical Data
We may collect limited technical information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- operating system;
- device type;
- language settings;
- referring pages;
- access timestamps;
- session identifiers;
- diagnostic or error-related information.
This data may be used for:
- security;
- authentication;
- abuse prevention;

1.6 Cookies and Local Storage

- Invitation-based access;
- Event-related visibility;
- other access-control settings.
We implement reasonable technical measures intended to respect these settings.
However:
- no online platform can guarantee absolute security;
- unauthorized access may still occur;
- users may voluntarily share content outside the Service;
- screenshots or recordings may be taken by other users.
Users are responsible for the information and content they choose to share.
Some features may display limited metadata, summaries, titles, relationships, or activity references even when full content visibility is restricted.
4. Notifications and Communications
TCPL may send notifications related to:
- account activity;
- invitations;
- feedback;
- event participation;
- event updates;
- moderation actions;
- questions and answers;
- system updates;
- security-related issues;
- service operation.
Notifications may be delivered through:
- email;
- in-service notifications;
- browser notifications, where supported.
We do not send marketing emails unless users separately opt in.
5. Data Storage and Security
TCPL is currently provided as a prototype platform.
We take reasonable measures intended to protect user data and maintain platform security.
However:
- uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed;
- backups may not always exist;
- data loss may occur;
- security vulnerabilities may exist;
- third-party services may fail;
- unauthorized access may occur despite reasonable precautions.
Users are encouraged to keep independent copies of important logs, notes, media, event information, and knowledge content.
6. Account Deletion and Anonymization
Users may delete their accounts through account settings or by contacting TCPL.
Upon deletion:
- the user account may be permanently removed;
- email address and directly identifying personal information may be deleted from active records;
- profile images may be removed;
- personal metadata identifying the user may be deleted or anonymized.
However, certain contributions may remain on the platform in anonymized or non-identifying form, including:
- Practice Logs;
- Performance Logs;
- feedback comments;
- event participation history;
- event reflections;
- Knowledge suggestions;
- annotations;
- questions;
- answers;
- other community contributions.
Display names may be replaced with neutral identifiers such as “Former Member.”
Content retained after anonymization will no longer be associated with personally identifiable information.
This retention is consistent with the Terms of Service and the community-oriented nature of TCPL.
7. Legal Basis for Processing (International Users)
For users in jurisdictions requiring a legal basis for processing personal data (including the GDPR), TCPL may process personal data based on:
- user consent;
- performance of a contract (providing the Service);
- legitimate interests;
- legal obligations;
- protection of platform security and community integrity.
Legitimate interests may include:
- operating and improving the Service;
- moderation and abuse prevention;
- maintaining platform security;
- detecting spam or harmful activity;

11. Demo Users and Sample Content
TCPL may provide demo users, sample logs, sample events, sample feedback, or other illustrative content for purposes such as:
- testing;
- onboarding;
- feature explanation;
- education;
- demonstration;
- promotion.
Demo content may be fictional, partially fictional, generated, edited, or simulated.
Demo content may not represent real users, real practice histories, or real events.
12. Third-Party Services
TCPL may interact with third-party services depending on the features used, including but not limited to:
- YouTube;
- Instagram;
- TikTok;
- authentication providers;
- hosting providers;
- email delivery services;
- embedded media providers;
- analytics or security-related services.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
TCPL is not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, or security of third-party services.
Users should review third-party policies separately.
13. International Data Transfers
TCPL may store or process data using infrastructure, hosting providers, or third-party services located in countries different from the user’s country of residence.
By using TCPL, users acknowledge that their information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable legal protections.
14. Children’s Privacy
TCPL is not specifically directed toward children under the age required by applicable law to independently consent to online services.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information without appropriate parental or legal guardian consent, please contact TCPL.
We may remove or restrict such information where appropriate.

This Privacy Policy may be updated as TCPL evolves.
When changes are made, the “Last updated” date may be revised.
Continued use of the Service after updated policies become available constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to the revised policy, you should discontinue use of the Service.

This Privacy Policy may be translated into other languages.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, if there is any inconsistency between translations, the English version shall prevail.
